Welcome
The Saskatchewan Ministry of the Environment (MOE) is embarking on a consultation process to seek the input of affected stakeholders on all aspects of implementing a Multi-Material Recycling Program (MMRP). The information from the Consultation will be used to inform decisions by the Government of Saskatchewan as they develop a MMRP Regulation.
The MMRP and its enabling regulation will affect brandowners, suppliers, etc. with a commercial interest in selling consumer products in Saskatchewan; as well as municipalities that operate residential recycling programs.
The "Saskatchewan Multi Material Recycling Program Consultation Paper" provides baseline information on the current recycling programs in the Province and proposes a preferred design option for a MMRP in Saskatchewan.
